Having a home bar worth it?
I was thinking about starting to collect wine, or other hard liquors. I don't like wine and stopped drinking whiskey. Problem is that when I have company, all I can offer is beer, juice, milk or water. Kind of seems like a waste of money, but would like to have more to offer
Any ideas and tips for stocking a home bar?
I wanna set up a small home bar to entertain guests. I need help on stocking it though. I don't wanna spend an arm and a leg, but I want it to be classier than buds with the boys. And yes I'm 21, I was born in 86'. So far I need a Shaker, jigger measure , stemware martini, all purpose wine, maybe set of stubs , Highball, lowball, Collins, shot glasses, and a set of stirs. As for alcohol I'd like it to be well versed and able to produce a wide array of drinks. So far I've thought of Gin Bombay or Tanqueray london or ten , vermouth, Vodka Smirnoff and Ciroc grape , Whiskey Jack Daniels , Rum Captain Morgan's Spiced , Tequila Jose Cuervo , Kaluha, and Yukon Jack. I'll also need juices like pineapple, cranberry, lime, lemon, orange, pomegranate, soda water, tonic, and pop Pepsi, Vernor's, Canada Dry, Coke, Sprite . Any other tips that would help me. Like a rough cost for this stuff, or anything I left out. Also any tricks of the trade or things to impress my guests.lol, You guess don't really have to count the Yukon Jack. That's more or less just a personal favorite of mine.

What do I need for a good home bar?
I want to invest about $150 in barware and liquor. What would you recommend? I already have tequila, vodka, rum, and a couple bottles of wine. I don't have any barware except for plenty of glasses and bottle openers. I'd like to have some stuff the ladies would like too, but I don't know how to make many drinks. Recommendations?

What are your " must haves" like, a spare full one in the cabinet somewhere, cause you MUST NOT run out and what are your " exception" bottles, that you have, because you use them every once in a while?

Must haves for home bar?
So I want to make a nice bar in my house you know just to make basic cocktails and etc when friends come over for dinner parties etc. I know there are literally hundreds of things I can buy to stock it up, but just wanted to see what you all recommended I get types of glasses, shaker, liquor, accessories, etc. ..and in what order given that this is not a business I won't have the $ to get everything all at once . Where can I get a beer pump for home bar in Calgary?
We are moving into a house in Calgary with a wet bar in it. Would love to get a beer pump for it but have no idea about how I think we would want and under counter kegerator so that we could have a pump on the counter top. Does anyone know of anywhere in Calgary that sells this kind of stuff and how much it might cost?Thanks

What liquors or liqueurs should I buy first for my new home bar?
I am trying to stock my bar at home and can't decide what all I need. I have the basics like triple sec, vodka, a couple schnapps and everything else you need to have a basic start, but I want a more upscale start. Not too pricey, but some good liqours with a good name between $20 $100 that can be used in a lot of bar recipes.
