Whats good to mix with caption morgan coconut rum?
Why don't more people sip on rum instead of whiskey?
I really don't get this. I started drinking Sailor Jerry spiced rum, and put it on the rocks with a wedge of lime, and it is great Many people for some reason have the idea its a cheap version of Captain, it's actually a much better product than Captain, even costs 1 or 2 bucks more. Not sure where that idea came from. It has a very full palate, sweet and flavorful without being too sweet, just great all around. My grandfather was in the navy, and in stereotypical fashion, he drinks a lot of rum. He likes Myers rum and Mt Gay on the rocks, and they're both great too Yet so many people drink bourbon and scotch straight. I have no problem with this, everyone has different tastes. However, you almost never see ANYONE drink good rum neat or on the rocks. I think rum is just as good a spirit as whiskey, why don't more people enjoy it this way? Do people just not know about good rum and choose to mix it away, or am I overestimating the popularity of rum?
