i found a bottle of rothschild mouton cadet 1971 in my uncles garage i know not a very expensive wine... it was in the corner laying on its side undisturbed... it is a large 1 gal 2qt bottle so i obviously cant open it just to drink it... is it good?he passed away so me and my mom are going through his things..

I'm hoping to get help finding a 1969 vintage that is peak or soon after peak. Doesn't really matter if it is red or white, but I would like it to be at least 88 points or higher if possible and hopefully not over $100 a bottle. In essense looking for a good wine doesn't have to be awesome and $1000, I guess a Port would possibly be the best. My 40th birthday is coming up and I would like a few bottles from the year I was born. I have only gotten into learning about wines in the last year and it is exciting. I only hope I'm not asking a dumb question because I'm still a novice at this. Everywhere I have looked so far, I have seen that 1969 wasn't a great year, but OK. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this issue. I would like to see some website info if possible because birthday is in three weeks from today.Thanks to all

Is this bottle of wine worth anything and if so, how or where do you sell vintage wine?
We found this bottle of Mateus Rose wine in a our Great Grandpa's basement after he passed away, he never drank so we can only assume it was a gift from when he retired. I tried a google search for it but couldn't really find any information, there's no date on the bottle but someone thought it might have been somewhere between 15 20 years ago.Does anyone know if it's worth anything or where we can go to find out? If it is worth money how do you trade vintage wines? Just received a gift of a Beaulieu Vineyard, Geroges de LAtour Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Founders Wine 1963. Has been stored in ok conditions.It did not cost me anything, the giver is not knowledgeable of the wine. I would like to try but also want to check and make sure I do not open someting special that has a big value. I am not a wine expert, just enjoy wine.Can anyone suggest, 1. does this sound like it may have some value, 2. is there a web source that could give a dollar value. Thanks
